Suncoast Netballers on Their Way
Our netball teams debuted on Saturday with a full day of grading in preparation for the 2012 season. Suncoast Sapphires did not have to grade as they are already one of the four highest ranking teams in the competition. The Suncoast Strikers, Sunbeams and Stars battled on despite extremely hot conditions down at the Fishermans Road complex and played 7 short games in two hours against other Coast teams. Thank you to all the netballers, parents and coaches who participated as part of the first ever Suncoast Netball Club. A special huge thank you to Sandy Honey who umpired for us all day in the hot, hot sun.
The next netball date is 17 March, Good Sports Day, at which all five Suncoast teams will march and perform team cheers on the first day of competition. Game times will be advised. The netball dresses and visors will be distributed prior to Good Sports Day.
So watch out SCNA…the Suncoast Netballers are on our way! Good luck girls.
